Welcome to the IITMidwest website and to the Midwestern United States!
IIT Midwest Alumni Association is a sister organization to the National Association called ‘PanIIT’ alumni association, based in USA.
 
As an alumni group, who are graduates of the Indian Institutes of Technology, our mission is to foster the spirit of continuous learning, sharing, mentoring and applying our knowledge, and relationships for the professional and social advancement of the IIT alumni, their families and the communities we are a part of.

If you are new to this area and wish to meet other alumni, or need any other assistance feel free to contact me.

About Us

IIT-Midwest is the mid-western chapter of national alumni associations of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), India. The IIT institutions are highly regarded engineering schools in the world. With approximately 3000 students graduating in engineering and management, we have an estimated 15000 people in United States and many are among entrepreneurs, business leaders, and active contributors to the society. The IIT campuses in India are located in Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee.

The IIT-Midwest activities are currently centered in the greater Chicago area but our past participants include members from Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan. As we continue to restructure and grow, one of our goals is to bring in all of Midwest region and develop a strong network of communication among members. As with other alumni organizations, our goal is to promote networking and social activities among IIT alumni but we are also motivated to help the society around us. This can be accomplished through a discussion of relevant topics through monthly seminars and workshops, summer picnic, informal mentoring, and building bridges across other entrepreneurial support organizations. We also work in cohesion with Pan-IIT, a national group to embrace individual regional chapters and the alumni associations administered within the institutions in India.
